As animal lovers, I know you appreciate the special love our hairy friends bring to our lives. Pet portraits make unique, lasting gifts for anyone who has loved an animal. Our animals are our very special friends and deserve being honored for all of the love they give.
Pet Portraits Montana is my passion and my dream. I specialize in commissioned fine art portraits of your favorite quadruped. Working in soft pastels, which are pure oil pigment, my work gives each portrait vibrant, rich color. Each piece is painted on a heavy weight archival paper of professional quality.
As a child on a Montana cattle, sheep and alfalfa ranch, I had access to lots of animals and had many special bonds.

I left that life to get an education in advertising art and have been a graphic designer producing advertising for many different venues for 25 years. During that time, I have also enjoyed being a part-time dog obedience trainer and love seeing people bond with their pet here in Billings, Montana.
My animal portraits are very personal paintings of your pet.
I work from your photographs and can paint either a head or full body pose. The photos make a big difference as explained on the photo tips page.
I can add special backgrounds or add your pets name. The background is usually changed to emphasize the subject. I need to know your preferences... let's discuss!
